About the website

Welcome to the new website of the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority. This website was launched on 1 July 2008, the same day when the new authority was launched following the merger of the Swedish Radiation Protection Authority (SSI) and the Swedish Nuclear Power Inspectorate (SKI).

The website is continuously undergoing construction in terms of content and functionality. Please note that the English version of 'search' is not yet finished. Try using the Swedish version, which will also present hits from the English website, or contact the Authority if you cannot find what you are looking for.

As a visitor to the website, you may discover things that need correcting or that are missing. We value your opinion and comments to help us improve the website for all visitors. Please contact us here.

If you have experience from the websites of our predecessors, please let us know. Our aim is to develop this website to achieve a higher standard, better functionality, improved content and easier navigation. Another goal is to make the website as accessible as possible for all visitors.

Technology

For the best possible experience from the website, you should use a recent version of a modern web browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera or Safari, but the website also works with older browsers and without Java script.

The web pages are designed for web standards rather than a particular browser. They are published as XHTML 1.0 Transitional and the look and feel are controlled by CSS 2.1.

Cookies

This website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on the visitor's computer to track what the visitor does on the website.

There are two types of cookies:

  • A permanent cookie that is stored on the visitor's computer for a certain length of time
  • A session cookie that is deleted when the visitor leaves the website

This website uses a session cookie when the visitor orders publications. That way, the visitor will not have to enter address and other details more than once when ordering several publications.

No personal information about visitors is stored. If you do not wish to accept cookies, you can disable them in the browser's security settings. Cookies stored earlier can also be deleted. See the browser's 'Help' for information about this.

Copyright and content

The Swedish Radiation Safety Authority is the publisher of all content on this website unless stated otherwise. All content on this website is copyrighted by the Authority. If you would like to use any of the content, please contact the Authority here.
