  Forskningen på nukleära material och kärnavfall stärks med nya partnerskap inom EU

  Två nya stora partnerskap för forskning inom områdena material för kärnenergi och hantering av kärnavfall har startat i höst. Strålsäkerhetsmyndigheten deltar aktivt i partnerskapen och bidrar även med forskningsmedel. Totalt pågår nu tre partnerskap som fördelar 70 miljoner euro från EU.

  Channelling has been observed in laboratory and field experiments at various scales. However, it is still an open research issue whether a sparse channel network is likely to be a better model than the fracture network model for representing the flow system in fractured rocks.
