Efter Tjernobylolyckan undersöktes cesium-137 ( 137 Cs) i blandad kost genom matkorgsundersökningar där matkorgens innehåll baserades på Jordbruksverkets konsumtionsstatistik. I undersökningen 1986–1987 fanns relativt stora skillnader mellan olika städer.
